Sunday 7/9 Tapas tour and the Prado

We got up and ready to do what we had planned to do: a tapas tour. We went out for a walk and coffee, and then we headed to the meeting point near our local station. Our guide was a Venezualan guy into computers (so he and Steve has some stuff to talk about). It ended up being a slow day for them and we were the only three people on this particular tour run. That was nice because it meant we had a nice little personal tour and our whole group could almost pass off as just some people and not a tour group.

During the tour we went to four different bars, and in each bar we got a drink and some tapas. Having said that, in most of the places we couldnt eat the stuff because it had pork of some variety (they're very much into their pork in Spain as you may or may not know). The drinks were good. We had sangria at each place, and it was very interesting to see the differences between how they were made at each of the various places that we went to during the tour.

Afterwards, we headed out and to the Prado museum, which was free on this Sunday. Fantastic! We spent a good amount of time in there, looking through most of what we could get to. To be honest, I was slightly museum and gallery-ed out and I might have zoned out slightly for a the last bit of it. I was happy when we decided to move on to whatever was next.

Nothing really was next. We went back to the hostel, made dinner and just relaxed. We had decided not to go on a pub crawl, and instead we just crashed.
