Sunday 11/5

Woke up and headed over to Karen's flat to spend a few hours with her and the baby. Em and Dan were still asleep at Dani's place after their night out, so it was just me and the family for a while. When the sisters ended up coming over they told me there was plans to meet some of Dani's friends for a picnic at Hyde Park. Sounded good. On a sunny London day doesn't everyone head to the park for a picnic? Yes.

It was a bit of an adventure getting over there since we first went by a series of tube rides to the Diana memorial entrance of the park only to find that Dani got a text with a different location in it. So...back on the tube, got on the wrong lines, got lost, but eventually ended up at the right station and over to the park. The funny thing was that this station was just a few stops down from Holborn anyway so it would have made an easy trip in the first place to get there =)

The sun comes out in London and all the Londoners grab their picnic supplies, rush over to the nearest park and bask shirtless in the sun. They really, really do pack out the parks, to the point where there doesn't seem to be much green left when you look out (well, at the smaller parks at least). We sat, enjoyed the weather, drank peach cider and ate salt and pepper chip-type snacks from Sainsburys. Mmmm.

We all headed back possibly a tad tispy.
