Saturday 10/5

Woke up a bit tired and boozy from the night before and headed over to Karen's flat following a text from Mum about spending a few hours at Sommerset House. Well, it was still sunny and warm and there was supposedly going to be coffee involved so it sounded like a good idea.

Karen, Mum, Bobba and I strolled down Kingsway with pram and baby. There was a big traffic jam heading up to High Holborn so a line of buses formed all the way down the street, looked pretty cool. A wall of red public transport =) We picked up some lunch at Eat, which seems to be the new form of fast food around these days (eg-Pret, Eat, etc). Sommerset House was good but the fountains were all off because of some Pangea Day concert. Bah! What a shame. We went out to the back and moved a table and some chairs over to the edge in the shade and got a few beverages and enjoyed the food.

There was a protest rally forming down below for a pro-palestine cause. Was interesting to see and perhaps a bit disheartening to see people supporting it (since it's really anti-Jewish even without saying, in my opinion). Bobba got a bit riled up over it. Emma headed over and joined us for a while, and when we were all tired of the heat (and yes, it was certainly hot) we decided to pack up and head back home.

That night I met up with a friend from facebook who showed me around some bars and clubs. Twas a fun night out.
